Dr Michelle Thomson obtained a BSc Honours degree in Life Sciences from Queen's University, Canada in 1994. She then qualified from the University of Birmingham Medical School and trained in general medicine to become a Member of The Royal College of Physicians of London. She subsequently completed her specialist training in Dermatology in the West Midlands and was then appointed as a Consultant Dermatologist to The Birmingham Skin Centre at City Hospital.
Dr Michelle Thomson has a practice which deals with all aspects of general dermatology, with special interests in skin cancer and dermatological surgery . Her publications include papers on clinical dermatology and skin cancers. She has given several national and international presentations and co-authored chapters in textbooks.
