Dr Michelle Thomson

Consultant Dermatologist

Dr Michelle Thomson obtained a BSc Honours degree in Life Sciences from Queen's University, Canada in 1994. She then qualified from the University of Birmingham Medical School and trained in general medicine to become a Member of The Royal College of Physicians of London. She subsequently completed her specialist training in Dermatology in the West Midlands and was then appointed as a Consultant Dermatologist to The Birmingham Skin Centre at City Hospital in 2007.

Dr Michelle Thomson has a practice with special interests in skin cancer, dermatological surgery and laser. Her publications include papers on clinical dermatology and skin cancers. She has given several national and international presentations and co-authored chapters in textbooks.
