Cherry angiomas
Cherry angiomas are small red vascular bumps caused by an overgrowth of blood vessels. They are extremely common and increase in number with age. Although benign, many people choose to remove them for cosmetic reasons or when they catch on clothing.
Characteristics
- Bright red or purple colour
- Round, dome shaped bump
- May darken with heat or exercise
- Can occur anywhere on the body
