Facial thread veins
Facial thread veins are small red or purple blood vessels visible near the skin surface. They may develop due to sun exposure, skin thinning, rosacea or injury. Although harmless, they can be particularly noticeable around the nose, cheeks and chin.
Common triggers
- Sun exposure
- Age related skin changes
- Rosacea
- Temperature extremes
Laser treatment
Pulsed dye laser treatment selectively heats and collapses the visible vessels without damaging surrounding skin. This gradually reduces their appearance.
- Fast, targeted treatment
- Minimal downtime
- Most effective for red superficial vessels
